Dancer
Faye was born in Dudley, England and started dancing at an early age becoming a Junior Associate with Birmingham Royal Ballet and performing with The National Youth Ballet of Great Britain. In 2008 she completed her BA Hons in Contemporary Dance at London Contemporary Dance School, performing in pieces by Merce Cunningham and Richard Alston and touring in collaboration with The Royal Ballet School.
After graduating Faye took a break from dancing, moving to New Zealand where she worked on projects to protect endangered birds and their habitat. Faye returned to dancing full time in 2011 joining Companhia de Danca do Norte, Portugal. Back in London she has worked extensively with Needlefoot Dance Theatre Company developing her acting skills. Despite her classical and contemporary training Faye loves to throw herself into all styles of dance including hip-hop, house, lindy-hop and even traditional English Folk Dance. She now writes a blog to share the ups and downs of tackling dance one style at a time.
